Two CDs. By the mid-'70s, Sonia Pottinger was firmly established as one of Jamaica's premier producers, issuing a steady stream of best-selling 7" singles on her revered High Note label. Throughout the remainder of the decade, she further cemented her reputation as a leading player within the island's recording industry with a succession of superior releases, performed by some of the leading talents on the Jamaican music scene, with the bulk of this work recorded at Duke Reid's famed Treasure Isle studio, under the supervision of the facility's acclaimed in-house sound engineer, Errol Brown. Yet, despite the popularity of these sides, many have remained unavailable since their original release over four decades ago. Now, at long last, 35 of Pottinger's finest works from the mid-to-late '70s have been brought together to form this essential roots reggae collection. Showcasing the talents of many of Jamaica's finest vocalists, DJs and instrumentalists, Can't Stop The Dread almost entirely comprises tracks new to CD; their number including eight previously unissued recordings.

All New Items on flyvintageandvinyl.com are Priced Below MSRP
and do not reflect our in-store prices and are not necessarily in stock at our physical store.
In fact, most items won’t be because we’re a small, family run business and don’t have space to stock nearly 500,000 new titles.

Separate Shopping Carts for New and Used Items
Because new items available on flyvintageandvinyl.com are fulfilled by our distributor and used items available on used.flyvintageandvinyl.com

It’s a minor inconvenience, but we’ll try to make it worth your while with our selection, ultrasonic-cleaned used records and competitive prices.
Shipping within the U.S. is $5 for the first LP plus 50¢ for each additional LP via USPS Media Mail.
