Formed in the town of Rosario, northeast of Buenos Aires, in 1971, Argentinian group El Reloj are considered South American pioneers of progressive rock and heavy metal, their forward-thinking experimentalism scoring a contract with RCA Victor. Following the massive success of singles "Alguien en Quien Confiar" and "Blues del Atardecer", their legendary self-titled LP found the group between Deep Purple and Uriah Heep, with a harder edge than subsequent symphonic releases. A must for all fans of early metal, South America rock, and obscure prog, El Reloj is an essential classic.back to top
